HPU to Host Google Generative AI Workshop

This Thursday, Google’s Public Sector division and government IT solutions firm Carahsoft are hosting an in-person workshop on Generative AI at Hawaii Pacific University’s Aloha Tower campus. The event page explains:

“Generative AI (GenAI) is a groundbreaking form of artificial intelligence that empowers humans to create content seamlessly. This technology marks a new frontier in government work and engagement, unlocking unprecedented levels of productivity, collaboration, and creative expression. GenAI’s potential to reshape how governments operate is immense – imagine automating up to 70% of routine employee tasks and making it easier for citizens to engage with government services.

The workshop will showcase Google’s secure GenAI capabilities and LLMs, as well as prompt design strategies, using a mixed lecture and hands-on-labs format. Specific tools covered include Gemini for Workspace, Gemini for AppSheet, Vertex AI Search, and Vertex AI Conversation.
