PBS Hawaii ‘Kakou’ Panel to Tackle AI

A panel of local experts in artificial intelligence will participate in a live town hall broadcast to tackle the titular question: “Artificial Intelligence: Embrace It or Fear It?”

The February episode of “KĀKOU: Hawai‘i’s Town Hall” will focus on AI. The article on the panel in the February 2024 issue of the PBS Hawaii newsletter was, of course, written by AI.

“We asked the AI program, Microsoft Copilot, to generate an article about the positives and negatives of AI,” the human editors wrote. “Is the fact that a computer generated this article cool, or does it scare you? Maybe both?”

AI was also used to design the newsletter cover image.

“KĀKOU: Hawai‘i’s Town Hall” will air live on Thursday, February 29 at 7:30 p.m.
